Coming to you straight from the motherland!

This jacket was designed as a mashup with Mali 🇲🇱 x Ghana 🇬🇭!

This Yɛji Mudcloth Jacket is not only a timeless piece but it's also an heirloom. We sourced the mudcloth from Mali and had a blast throwing larger-than-life buttons on it. Mud cloth is also known as Bogolanfini in Mali.

Bogolanfini also known as mud cloth is made primarily by the Bambaras, who primarily consisted of people from Mali, Ghana, Guinea, Burkina Faso, and Senegal.

Bogolanfini is made with fermented mud, which is collected from river bends and fermented for more than a year in a clay jar.

The designs on the mud cloth are used to represent social status, proverbs or historical events. ⚡️

Fully lined with front pockets and may come with brass zipper.

  • Mudcloth can be washed in cold water without much color loss. However, as the dyes are natural and may wash out over time, dry cleaning may be a better option.

If you decide to throw it into a washing machine, place white mudcloth in a mesh laundry bag and wash in cold water using the gentle cycle and a mild laundry detergent, do not use bleach.
